Where exactly are the 7 Chakras located? The best way to find the Chakra Points is to actually feel them for yourself. Everybody can feel his or her Chakras – no superhuman powers are required. However, it might help to first read about the Chakra locations before you explore them on your own.
Chakra Points – The Chakras of the body
The Chakra Points correspond to important physical nerve networks (plexuses), glands and organs. Contemplating the Chakra locations in the human body can actually hint at their energetic and psychological functions, as these often share a similar essence.
Below you will find a Chakra diagram, mapping the exact position of the Chakra Points, as well as a detailed description of the Chakra locations and their connections to bodily systems.
Chakra Map – The Chakra locations in the body
The Chakra Diagram below shows a map of the Chakra locations in the body.
The Chakra Points of the individual Chakras
Chakras are an energetic phenomenon and as such, they have no absolutely exact position in the human body. Like all energy, they are rather field-like and influence a whole region of the body. As such, the Chakra locations are not really Chakra Points in a purely physical sense. However, when properly aligned, their “epicenter” can be located with some precision.
Root Chakra Location
The Root Chakra is located in the region of the perineum – the small region just between the genitals and the anus. More precisely, the energetic center of the Root Chakra is a bit different for males and females: In the male body, it is slightly inside or above the perineum, whereas in the female body it is on the posterior side of the cervix.
The Root Chakra is connected to the Sacral Plexus and the Adrenal Gland/Suprarenal Gland. It is connected to the skeletal system.
Sacral Chakra Location
The Sacral Chakra is located in the pubic area, just below the hairline of the pubic hair.
The Sacral Chakra is connected to the Lumbar Plexus, the reproductive glands, the sexual organs, the kidneys, and the urinary system.
Solar Plexus Chakra Location
The Solar Plexus Chakra is – as the name suggests – located at the Solar Plexus. You can find the exact Chakra Point roughly three fingers above the navel. This is at approximately the same height as the lowest point of the rib cage/coastal arches.
The Solar Plexus is connected to the Solar Plexus (also: Celiac Plexus), the pancreas and the digestive system which includes the stomach, liver, pancreas, and bowels.
Heart Chakra Location
The Heart Chakra is located in the middle of the chest, again some three fingers above a horizontal line drawn between the nipples.
The Heart Chakra is connected to the Cardiac Plexus and Brachial Plexus, the Thymus Gland, heart, lungs, arms, and hands.
Throat Chakra Location
The Throat Chakra is located at the upper end of the throat pit at the base of the throat.
The Throat Chakra is connected to the Cervical Plexus, the Thyroid Gland, the throat, neck, mouth, and jaws.
Third Eye Chakra Location
The Third Eye Chakra is located in the middle of the head, at a level slightly above the center of the eyebrows.
The Third Eye Chakra is connected to the Carotid Plexus, the Pituitary gland, the eyes, ears, nose, and brain.
Crown Chakra Location
The Crown Chakra is located at the center of the top of the head, at the area of a baby’s frontal fontanelle.
The Crown Chakra is connected to the Pineal Gland.
